At FineSteps we believe in supporting local charities wherever possible.
For the past few years, we have been raising money for Sue Ryder, a fantastic charity that supports people when they need it most and helps them live the best life possible. We are very proud to say that since 2019, as a result of our Social and Tea Dance raffles, Valentine’s Ball, Noël Ball and weekends away, we have raised a staggering £3203.92 for Sue Ryder! It’s thanks to you, our FineSteppers, that we were able to make this donation. Thank you so much!
This year we are going to continue supporting Sue Ryder, as we know so many of you have witnessed the support they provide loved ones and families.
We are also going to support Focus, at the request of Richard, Ms FineSteps’ dad.
Focus is based in the Gloucestershire Oncology Centre, making a difference for local cancer patients, their families, friends, and the staff who treat them. They aim to create a comfortable and positive environment for patients and staff, investing in state-of-the-art equipment and extra care over and beyond that provided by the NHS. Focus also provide services such as support and advice on many types of cancer, advice on hair loss and side effects, talking with children, support for carers and more. The support Focus provides in the Oncology Centre and through clinics in surrounding areas, reaches a population of over 1 million people. A wonderful charity that we would like to offer our support to.
This year all donations will be split between Sue Ryder and Focus, two absolutely incredible charities.
There will be plenty of opportunities to support them, as we will be holding raffles at all our social dances, our tea dances and on our weekends away in Dawlish. We are also holding a Charity Summer Ball at Cheltenham Town Hall on 22nd July. We hoping to have a raffle with some large and exclusive prizes up for grabs! If you know of any local businesses that would like to donate a raffle prize please let us know.
